Internships At The Vidal Group

The Vidal Group internship program provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about government through first-hand participation. We expect a great deal from our interns. Candidates will have a diverse, challenging experience that will prepare them for work within New York State Government.

Why Do An Internship With Vidal Group

  • Increased marketability to employers -
    • On average, only 30% of graduating seniors have job offers before graduation.
    • For students who have completed an internship, that figure rises to 58% on average.
  • Higher starting salary -
    • In a recent study, interns received, on average, $2,240 more than non-interns for starting pay.
  • The Vidal Group offers both paid and unpaid internships.
  • Your internship will focus on government lobbying and political action.
  • Have a hands-on opportunity to work in an atmosphere that may not be available on campus.
  • Build relationships with other students participating in internships and networking opportunities with potential employers.
  • Build your resume.

We welcome all applicants who have demonstrated academic excellence and have displayed a commitment to public service. While preference is given to any applicant that has served as an intern with the New York State Legislature, students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The Application Process

Please complete all sections of the application thoroughly. Although providing the information requested is voluntary, failure to provide complete answers may affect the review and consideration of your application.
